Permanent Opposition

Writer: JG .JG .

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg has blocked the Trump administration from using the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang members, who have been designated as a foreign terrorist group. Boasberg ordered that “any plane” containing Tren de Aragua members is not allowed “to take off” or must “be returned to the United States” if it is already in the air. So, flying illegal immigrant gang members out of the country is now illegal, but flying criminal aliens into the country was somehow legal for four years under Biden. This is where the left in America is today.

This judge is not blocking the deportation of a family of four from Mexico who have been in the United States for 10 years and have been working and contributing to this country. No, this judge is blocking the deportation of some of the most vicious and violent gang members in the world who are here illegally and whose gang members have been responsible for many rapes and murders of American citizens over the last four years. The judge is blocking the deportation of those people. And when one of those gang members who remains rapes or murders a young girl, nothing will ever be done to hold that judge accountable for his complicity in that crime. He will hide in his mansion behind ten-foot walls in a gated community and behind his judicial immunity.

They are not being deported because of the color of their skin. They’re not being deported because of their religious beliefs. They’re being deported because they have shown themselves to be violent threats to American citizens. And the ACLU is behind the lawsuit which the judge used to block their deportation. So, we should never take the ACLU name seriously anymore. They’re not for American civil liberties. If they were for American civil liberties, then they would be in favor of the deporting illegal immigrants gang members who pose an imminent threat to the civil liberties of every American citizen because when an American citizen is murdered at the hands of these gang members, that citizen loses every single civil liberty there is.

So, it is fair to ask, are the people on the left fighting back against what Trump is doing because they actually believe that violent Venezuelan gang members who are here illegally have protected constitutional rights in this country or are they just opposing what Trump is doing because they will knee-jerk oppose anything Trump does? Is the left attacking Elon Musk right now, vandalizing Tesla showrooms and setting Tesla cars on fire because they are in favor of government waste, fraud, and abuse, or are they just opposing what Elon Musk is doing because they’re always going to oppose everything that Donald Trump does? That is where the left is right now.

You can criticize Trump and oppose his stance on tariffs, where he stands on the Ukraine war, or even his approach to the Israel-Palestine conflict. There’s room for debate in all of those issues. But deporting violent gang members who are here illegally, and getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse in a government that is currently $36 trillion in debt, are issues that have no room for debate. None. They should get 100% support, or at least 99.9999999% support. Blocking the deportation of violent gang members means that you want violent gang members in our communities committing violent crimes against American citizens. Protesting and vandalizing against eliminating waste, fraud and abuse in our government means that you want waste, fraud and abuse in our government. There is no nuance or context here.

But we saw what the Democrats are all about when Trump spoke to the joint session of Congress a few weeks ago. They didn’t stand up and applaud one time; not even for a 13-year-old cancer survivor; not even for a young girl who was seriously injured playing volleyball; not even for the family of Laken Riley, the nursing student who was murdered by an illegal alien. They didn’t stand one time; they didn’t applaud one time. Those moments of applause in a speech like that are a way for the American people to see what each party stands for and where the differences between the parties are. And the Democrats have chosen to oppose Trump always, even when he is right.

By deciding to become the permanent opposition to Trump, no matter what he does, the Democrats were forced to support some indefensible positions. The Democrats are hell bent on not giving Donald Trump a win at all costs that they’re giving up everything. We saw this when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with anti-Trump Democrat Senators, Chris Coons, Amy Klobuchar and Chris Murphy, before his disastrous meeting with Trump in the White House. The Democrats convinced Zelensky to reject the deal that Trump put together, not because it was what was best for Ukraine or the United States, but it would make Trump look bad and deny him a foreign policy success.

The Democrats will do anything and everything to torpedo Trump’s Presidency because they know that if he is successful, then the corrupt apparatus that they spent the last 30 years building in Washington with the express purpose of guaranteeing them electoral victories for decades to come will come crumbing down. And they will have to win elections legitimately by representing their constituents as opposed to relying on a corrupt media, a corrupt permanent bureaucracy and by financing corrupt NGO’s. Protecting illegal immigration and a bloated federal government are the means in which the Democrats keep their corrupt political apparatus together, and that is why they are forced to take these indefensible positions on issues that Trump is objectively right about.
